Based on the work of the the Gorgonist, this pillow was stitched by Kiddy Amunda. Interestingly, I was previously familiar with the Gorgonist and even this picture…Windy wants to make the Death Star dress for Kadie!

I remember the first time I saw this. Completely blown away.
See that?! It’s cross stitched! She states it was completed in 2009 after 14 months. It is stitched on 32-count black evenweave. Here’s a little more detail:

Loveandasandwich is an amazing designer who has done some really great original designs with applique embroidery. I first came across some of her work because we both had pieces in the Stitch Wars Strikes Back exhibit.
