Fancy Dress Pillow by Kiddy Amunda

Wow. Sometimes that’s really all you can say.

Fancy Dress Star Wars Pillow

Based on the work of the the Gorgonist, this pillow was stitched by Kiddy Amunda. Interestingly, I was previously familiar with the Gorgonist and even this picture…Windy wants to make the Death Star dress for Kadie!

Felt Star Wars Finger Puppets by Jesscalator

I love needle-felt work. There is something about it that I find really cute and just can’t stay away from. Flickr user Jesscalator is feeding my problem with these super-cute finger puppets:

X-Wing Space Scene Cross Stitch by StitchingDreams

I remember the first time I saw this. Completely blown away.

FinishedStarWarsXstitch.jpg

See that?! It’s cross stitched! She states it was completed in 2009 after 14 months. It is stitched on 32-count black evenweave. Here’s a little more detail:

StitchingDreams says she did this for her son’s birthday. It’s a gift that keeps on giving!

Star Wars Stitch Along Update

The Han Stitched First Star Wars Stitch Along is underway. It’s not much right now but this is my Darth Vader work in progress:

Don’t forget the stitch along is drop-in and almost completely without rules other than Star Wars related needlework. So feel free to start stitching (or crocheting, or knitting, etc) and send a work in progress/completed pics to hanstitchedfirst@gmail.com

Oh, you thought I was joking? If Giggly Mama is going to keep making them, I will happily keep window shopping showing the world. This week we have two really great takes on some classic vehicles.

MORE Star Wars Embroideries by Giggly Mama! If she keeps this up we will start calling it Giggly Mama Mondays (not a bad thing). Seriously if I were as talented and/or as quick as her (I’ll settle for either) I’d have a bunch done too. Here are some of her latest:

R2-D2 and C-3PO Applique Embroidery by Loveandasandwich

Loveandasandwich is an amazing designer who has done some really great original designs with applique embroidery. I first came across some of her work because we both had pieces in the Stitch Wars Strikes Back exhibit.

You did check out the photostream from the exhibit on flickr, right?!? Which means you are already familiar with Loveandasandwhich’s Ewok and Wampa pieces, right?!? Great, because here are her amazing takes on everyone’s favorite droid pair:

Beep Beep Boop Beeoop Beep
Oh, Dear.

I think 3PO looks similar to his appearances in the old Droid cartoon. Love It! You know the drill. Click a pic and go check out more by Loveandasandwich.

Luminous Beings Sampler by Krupp

Here is a great Yoda sampler from HSF flickr group member, Krupp:

luminous beings are we

I’ve spent a couple hours this morning lost in Krupp’s photostream. You should click on the picture and do the same. Highly recommended if you like Star Wars, robots, Bill and Ted, anything awesome, etc.
